Health Committees Training Manual

This user-friendly training manual was developed to assist health committees to develop a better understanding of their community representation role and the core functions of health committees.  The training intention is to facilitate a human rights culture within and around health facilities. In addition, it provides an understanding of the legislation that supports community health committee functioning at facility level. Other topics covered include human rights and democracy, functions of local government and understanding the health system and the various health services. It unpacks an understanding of ‘meaningful’ community participation.  The training manual is designed to be interactive, expecting participants to take an active role.
